the lead lights up the flame and makes it burn red. I know from working in the produce section of the store when i was young who makes peach shine. And it was really good. pretty easy to tell when they buy couple cases of peaches a week

there's shine, and then there's corn liquor. you're correct on the proof. bwe teat it on how it beads when you swirl it in the jar, and burns almost clear..instantaneously
